In those days, at the invitation OYAMA Polish Karate Federation, was in Krakow, the Grand Master Shigeru Oyama 10 Dan with wife Pat. The XIV International Sports and Training Mityngu OYAMA IKF, Soshu conducted a two-day seminar and master's exam, with the participation of nearly 300 trainers and players from Polish, Russian, Belarus, Ukraine, Estonia, USA, Germany, Ireland, Azerbaijan and Iran. OYAMA IKF meeting was organized with financial support of the Municipality of Krakow.

In Piotrkow held XIII OYAMA Polish Junior Championships in the PFC Semi-Knockdown Competition. The tournament was organized Piotrkowski Washi Oyama Karate Club, under the direction of Sensei Darius Szulc 2 dan in collaboration with the Centre for Sport and Recreation in Piotrkow.
